We're seeking five founding volunteer Board Members to establish Lethbridge Safety Connect. This is your chance to build something meaningful for the Southern Alberta safety community.

LSC is a blank canvas. As a founding Board Member, you'll have a direct hand in shaping the organization's direction, culture, and programming — not just attending meetings. This is a rare opportunity to leave a lasting mark on your professional community.
Board service is a volunteer commitment. If board service isn't right for you, you're still very welcome to join LSC's events and activities.
What to expect
- Volunteer role — no compensation, but deeply rewarding
- Regular board meetings (frequency to be determined by the board)
- Involvement in planning and running LSC events and workshops
- Collaboration with fellow safety professionals across Southern Alberta
- A one-year initial term, renewable by board vote
Open positions
Five founding board roles
Chairman
Provides overall leadership and direction for LSC. Chairs board meetings, acts as the primary spokesperson, and ensures the organization fulfills its mission.
Vice Chair
Supports the President and assumes leadership responsibilities in their absence. Assists with strategic planning and member engagement.
Secretary
Manages board communications, meeting minutes, and organizational records. Ensures governance documentation is accurate and up to date.
Treasurer
Oversees LSC's financial health, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting to the board and membership.
Event Planner
Contributes to board discussions and decisions, represents the broader membership, and supports events, programming, and community outreach.
